Practical Health Lab4-week pilot · 20 spots

Eating well & working out shouldn't be this complicated.

Every week someone changes the rules on you. It's exhausting — and somewhere in all that noise you still have to go to work, raise kids, travel, and live your life. Four Thursday nights in October, we make it a lot simpler.

The whole thing

  • 4 live Zoom sessions
  • Thursdays, Oct 8–29
  • 5:30–6:30 PM Pacific
  • Up to 20 people
Reserve your spot

If after the first session it's not for you, I'll refund you. No awkward emails.

The noise

Lift heavy. Do cardio. Don't do cardio. Get 10,000 steps. Take 37 supplements. Are you kidding me?

"Eat carbs."

Right next to: "Don't eat carbs."

"Fast."

Right next to: "Don't fast."

"Track everything."

Right next to: "Don't track anything."

You don't need more information. You could ask ChatGPT to write you a nutrition plan before you finish reading this page. You need the fundamentals, made to work in your life — and then four weeks of actually doing it.

Four Thursdays

5:30–6:30 PM · Pacific · Live on Zoom
  1. Thursday

    Oct 8

    Start With Your Life

What are you actually trying to accomplish? What's realistic right now? We simplify the fundamentals and you decide exactly what you're committing to for the next four weeks.

  2. Thursday

    Oct 15

    Eat Like a Normal Human

Protein. Calories. Food quality. Portions. The stuff that actually matters — plus restaurants, travel, weekends, alcohol, family dinners, and what to do when Tuesday goes completely sideways.

    Session 02
  3. Thursday

    Oct 22

    Train Like a Normal Human

Strength. Hypertrophy. Cardio. Movement. Recovery. You don't need to train six days a week, and you probably shouldn't build a plan around motivation. We figure out what makes sense for you.

    Oct 29

    What Actually Worked?

Four weeks later we'll have something better than another plan — we'll know what you actually did. What worked, what didn't, what kept getting in the way, and what you want to keep doing.

    Session 04

How the four weeks work

This isn't four Zoom calls and a bunch of information.

01

Pick your commitments

A handful of specific commitments for the month — chosen for your schedule, your goals, your family, your travel. Not a 47-item plan.

02

Track them

Simple tracking we'll actually talk about. What you did, what got in the way, and what to adjust. No macro spreadsheets.

03

You're not alone between sessions

Access to Sean and the group all month for questions, accountability, and the inevitable “well, my entire week just went sideways” moments.

Small on purpose. Twenty people means Sean remembers your name, your goals, and why you signed up. When it's full, it's full.

Who this is for

You give a shit about your health. You don't need it to be your entire personality.

  • Maybe you want to lose some weight. Get stronger. Eat better. Start training again.
  • Maybe you want to throw your kids around easily, have more energy, or just stop starting over every few months.
  • You'll still eat at restaurants, travel, and have a beer with friends. That's fine.
  • You don't need to be “into fitness.” You don't need chicken and rice out of Tupperware.
  • You'd rather have a coach and a small group than another app to ignore.
  • You are willing to actually work on it for four weeks.

Who am I?

I'm Sean. NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach — but fitness isn't my full-time job.

It's just a pretty important part of my life. Sometimes I'm training for a Tactical Games competition or a Spartan race. Sometimes I want to be stronger. And sometimes I just want to feel good, go on a hike, and have plenty of energy to get on the floor and play with my daughter.

Different seasons. Different goals. Different approaches. Your health should work with the life you're actually living — no secret diet, no perfect workout, no pretending everyone has the same goals.
